Furioso Vineyards was founded in 2014 by Giorgio Furioso ( Italian by birth), an influential and nationally known artist, professor of art, creative designer-real estate developer, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner.
In 2018, Furioso Vineyards kicked off its fifth vintage with the opening of a new tasting room complex in the famous Dundee Hills AVA of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Furioso Vineyards focuses primarily on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, utilizing a “light hand” of mild extraction, un-fined, unfiltered, and natural fermentation, resulting in elegant, refined, and aromatically complex Pinot Noirs.
A new gem amongst the Dundee Hills AVA tasting rooms, the new tasting room complex which officially opened on May 1, 2018.
“I wanted to design a building that would reflect modern architecture, celebrate art, and be grounded in the esthetic of the Pacific Northwest,” proprietor Giorgio Furioso said. “When you are inside enjoying our wines, it’s like being on the prow of a ship as it sails through the green leaves of the vineyard.”
Furioso’s new tasting room , is twenty-one meters long and nine meters deep, with glass walls four meters high that offer an unobstructed view on all four sides. This incredible design features a shared glass wall with the winery’s crush pad facility. This enables Furioso the ability to offer all guests an up-close harvest experience from the warmth and safety of the tasting room.
Several pieces of Giorgio Furioso’s own artwork, as well as pieces from several famous artists, adorn the fabric covered walls of the new tasting room.
